It's been so fun catching up with old friends from last year and making new friends. It's no wonder we love this place. It's really about the people and the beach isn't half bad either. We think we've found paradise. We've been busy eating out with friends and I've been going to Body Toning on Tuesday and Thursday at the JELM with yoga on Wednesday. You join the JELM (community center) for $5 a couple. I'm hoping for a new body soon as the 'Biggest Loser' scale we bought last year is definitely not being kind to either of us.
We brought a loon wind lawn ornament with us to sit by our lighthouse. It's been five miserable days of high winds (20 -30 mph), damp cold and rain so we saw Unbroken, which is a tough movie to see, that seems like it goes on and on and on. We felt we should just see it as a reminder how many people sacrificed to give us our freedom AND besides the popcorn is great. We've done the dreaded laundry once, looked at new 5th wheels and oh ya, we had an unfortunate thing happen.
Gil lost his best friend. Yes, he was pulling the slides in so the work crew could get the cement mixer by the rig to build the cement slab for the bird house, when he heard a big crunch...there went the TV, which was sticking out just enough that it caught as the slide came in and crushed the screen. No more FOX news, which for me, was a blessing. Talk about a case of SADD....fortunately today, Amazon, delivered a brand new 32" TV. We're back in business again...well almost...he's working to get it set up while I'm blogging and having a glass of wine.

I'm not sure there are any sunsets better than here in Texas on the Gulf. Today, I covered another 4 miles on the beach while Gil washed the rig and car. There is still a severe water shortage in Texas so you can only use water to wash your car/rig on Friday. We sure love being Winter Texans!
