Sunshine, Sunshine and More Sunshine!

January 20, 2015

This is coastal living at it's best!  It's been two great days with mild breezes, 70 degrees and lots of sunshine.  We got the 'bird house' on the slab and are thinking of decorating it  like a real bird house with a hole in the door and a sitting perch.  The shelves were a challenge.  They had no markings so it was a puzzle that took about an hour to figure out.  It's a great gift and we are very grateful to have saved $2300.

It's been so fun to have Xochitl read to me on FaceTime and Maycen and Brody chat while they are having lunch.  It's so nice to stay in touch with family and friends.

I'm still in the body toning routine with yoga sandwiched in between.  We've been back the Boathouse and celebrated the Seahawks win.  We've stayed away from the DQ.  I'm still covering 4 miles a day on the beach with friends.

Lots of people fish here.  They catch trout, whitefish and sheephead.  We fish off the menu:=) The pelicans, turtles and herons frequently visit our pond so the wild life is abundant.  I was relieved to hear there are no alligators here.

Today the dew was so heavy that when Gil was wiping off the car so I could go to class, he couldn't figure why the dew wasn't being wiped away...only to discover it was dewy on the inside too!  It's very weird that sometimes the fog will just roll in....tonight  the sunset was during one of those fog rolls.

It feels good to have time to read, be a little tan and to be exercising again!  Thanks for traveling with us! This is such a special place, it's fun to share it!
